Biography for Chris Dubble
Chris is 34 years old, the oldest son of Jay and Peggy Dubble. He has 2 younger brothers, Tyler and Nathan. Chris married the love of his life, Allison, on August 13, 2011. They have four children: Emma, 9 yrs old in 4th grade, Linnie, 7 yrs old in 2nd grade, Olivia, 5 yrs old in Kindergarten and Gideon, 3 yr old. The girls attend Lebanon Christian Academy and Gideon is in the Teach a Tot program at the Richland Church of the Brethren.
Chris graduated from Lebanon Christian Academy, which is strong in the Baptist faith, very similar to the Church of the Brethren. While growing up, Chris enjoyed going to Camp Swatara, was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He earned his Eagle Scout at the age of 18. As a young adult he worked as an EMT with the ambulance and was a volunteer firefighter. Chris is currently employed at the Lebanon VA Hospital in the operating room.
Chris and his family live on South Race Street in Richland. They lead busy lives. Emma participates in soccer and gymnastic classes, Linnie participates in soccer and tap dance classes and Olivia participates in dance classes. He and his family enjoy camping and spending time outdoors. This summer they went on a 3 week camping trip out west, which included visiting a few National Parks. They also like going to Chris’ grandparents’ cabin in Tioga County. Chris enjoys hunting and is excited to be joined this year by his daughter, Linnie, who is in the mentor program.
Chris has attended Richland Church of the Brethren most of his life. He was baptized in the pond on Victor and Grace Ziegler’s farm. When Chris felt the call to the ministry, members of Richland COB encouraged him to attend the Pastoral Training program offered by the denomination. Chris completed the program and has served as Interim Pastor and Associate Pastor at Richland. He has also served as a Sunday School teacher for an adult class.
