Our youth group currently meets bi-weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30PM.

We meet in the youth zone.  The evening includes a time of games, devotions, prayer, and snack.  The group is supervised by the four youth advisors, Christa, Andy, Beth, and Dave, who have their clearances.

At least once a month we try to do an additional activity with anything from a movie night, to corn maze, to local concerts.

Our focus is to grow youth in their journey with Jesus.

Carnival and Youth Center Dedication

On September 7, we rejoiced in the culmination of over 4 months of planning, prayer and remodeling, as we debuted our new Youth/Kid Zone at MCOB! The day included a carry-in meal, kids carnival and opportunity to walk through the newly finished Youth/Kid Zone! It was a fabulous day and the completed project could not be better! What started with a child’s request for more kid-friendly seating, fell on the hearts of many as we saw a need to create a space where the children and youth of our church could feel at home. A place where they would want to go, that would be fun and completely geared towards them. We saw a need to grab a hold of our young people now, as they are our future! God’s hand has truly been on this project as we jumped over many hurdles along the way. We believe God has big plans for this space and we can’t wait to see how His beautiful plan unfolds.

Christmas in July

Members of the MCoB youth group joined the Missions and Fellowship Commission members to host the annual “Christmas in July” party at the Susan Dowhower house on Tuesday evening, July 29. After sharing a reading of the Christmas story, residents and MCoB members sang Christmas carols,  enjoyed snacks, and played a lively game of BINGO, with prizes for all. The evening ended with the distribution of gifts that were donated by members of MCoB. A fun time was had by all.

National Youth Conference

MCOB youth worked hard the last 3 years to earn enough to get to Ft. Collins, Colorado for National Youth Conference. Thanks to the wonderful support of our church family, our trip was fully funded.

NYC is held every 4 years and is for those who have completed 9th grade thru 1st year of college.

Christopher Johns, Zachary Sullivan, Rebecca Wolfe, and Casey Daubert had the privilege of attending. It was a very busy 6 days. Every day we attended 2 worship services, 1 small group session, and 1 workshop. In between that we managed to eat 3 delicious meals, have some recreation time and also hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.

God is working through this fine group of young people. We look forward with great anticipation to see His kingdom advanced through them.
